Resided in Washington County then moved toRoan e County where they resided for some years then moved toMonroeCounty , Kentucky where Rebecca died about 1859. He was livin,7 in 1864but d ied before 1870. He was a farmer and is said to have been a Mason.The house and farm he founded in Roane County passed to his son, John H. ,and has come down thru his sons and remains in the family today. Children: i Nancy: b 1799 Tenn., m prior to 1829 John Arterburn, b N. C. 1799,re sided Roane Co., Tenn. to 1836 then moved to Monroe Co., Ky. where hee ngaged in farming. Both were living in 1850. They had, known : 1 Sarah Arterburn: b 1829. 2 Nancy Arterburn: b 1831. 3 John Arterburn: b 1833. 4 George Arterburn: b 1835. 5 Milinda Arterburn: b 1838 Ky. 6 Elbert Arterburn: b 1842. 243 ii John H.
